Expansion By Auto Parts Manufacturer to Create 64 New Jobs in NC

11/29/2011
Henniges Automotive will invest $2.2 million to expand its Reidsville, North Carolina, automotive sealing products plant, according to an announcement made by Gov. Bev Perdue. The company also will add 64 jobs to its workforce there in Rockingham County. The average annual wage for the new jobs will be $27,849 (not including benefits), said the governor's office. Currently the facility employs 226 workers who produce sealing parts for Ford Motor Co., Chrysler and BMW.

Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Henniges is a plastics and rubber molder operating 11 plants around the world (including one each in Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma and North Carolina). Globally, it employs 4,500 associates.

The One North Carolina Fund is giving the project a financial boost in the form of a $65,000 grant.
