BLG Logistics Spends $3.2M on Vance, Alabama Expansion

07/16/2010
German company BLG Logistics is expanding in Vance, Alabama, Tuscaloosa News reports. The move will create approximately 30 jobs and represents a $3.2 million investment.

"This will be the foundation for our future growth in the United States," Bill Lambiase, vice president of BLG U.S. operations, told the News.

The Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority has extended BLG approximately $119,000 in tax abatement and $32,000 in a site preparation grant. Construction has already begun on the project, which will make sub-assembly and sequence parts service for a nearby Mercedes-Benz plant.
