NHK and Interstate Warehousing Bringing 255 Jobs to Murfreesboro, Tennessee

07/28/2010
NHK Seating, a Japanese company, is planning a facility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee that will create up to 224 jobs when completed in 2015, the Daily News Journal reports. The company will invest $54 million to build the plant, which produces seats for the auto industry.

"This solidifies our county's position as a center for advanced manufacturing," said Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce President Paul Latture.

The Rutherford County Industrial Development Board has extended a $2.4 million tax abatement to NHK. Company clients include Toyota and Nissan.

Additionally, Interstate Warehousing is bringing 31 jobs to Murfreesboro. The company is beginning a 130,000-square-foot facility expansion, and has received an offer of a $322,000 tax abatement from the Industrial Development Board.
