08/26/2014
The 37,000-square-foot facility, located at 245 Deming Way in Summerville, will manufacture components for power generation equipment, including gas turbines, as well as nuclear and hydrogen generators that are in service around the globe. The new facility is expected to be operational in early 2015 with plans to begin hiring new associates in late 2014.
"IMT's firm commitment to quality and service is the reason for our continued success. We strive to push our company into the future by constant improvement to our facilities and to our work process. We feel that Dorchester County is a perfect fit and are excited to utilize the resources that South Carolina has to offer,” said Joseph Lomanto, President/Owner of IMT.
"Our manufacturing sector continues to be a big driver of South Carolina's economy. It's no wonder that a prestigious company such as IMT would choose to open a facility here. Their commitment and service to our state is preparing us for an even brighter economic future,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
ReadySC will be assisting with initial recruiting and training. In addition the Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project.
