Location USA 2016: A Letter from Vinai Thummalapally, Executive Director, SelectUSA, U.S. Department of Commerce
This past year has been an exciting one for investment in the United States. The U.S. economy has continued to expand: As of March 2016, there have been over 72 straight months of private-sector job growth.
Location USA 2016
The 2015 SelectUSA Investment Summit was filled to capacity: President Barack Obama hosted more than 2,000 people from 70 international markets and nearly every U.S. state and territory. He joined Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and five other members of his Cabinet to make it clear that the United States warmly welcomes international investors. We hope you will join us for the 2016 SelectUSA Investment Summit, June 19–21, in Washington, D.C. More information can be found at www.selectusasummit.us.
Investments are made company by company, location by location. As you consider where and how to make your investment, please consider us to be at your service. SelectUSA is the U.S. government program to facilitate business investment by assisting companies and U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs). Housed within the U.S. Department of Commerce, we coordinate across the federal government to serve as a single point of contact. We act as an ombudsman, assisting investors to understand the U.S. government and address regulatory questions. To learn how we can help you, please visit www.SelectUSA.gov.
We congratulate Area Development for another successful annual edition of LocationUSA. This publication has been an incredibly valuable resource for the EDO community, and we look forward to continuing our work together.
Sincerely,
Vinai Thummalapally
