Malibu Boats Plans Roane County, Tennessee, Operations

Malibu Boats plans to establish manufacturing operations in Roane County, Tennessee. The $65 million project is expected to create 770 jobs.

The new facility, located at the Roane Regional Business and Technology Park, will allow the company to expand production capabilities of Cobalt boats.

Malibu Boats, LLC is a subsidiary of Malibu Boats, Inc. designs, engineers, manufactures, markets, and sells recreational powerboats globally.

“Today’s announcement is proof that Tennessee has the right assets in place to support companies like Malibu Boats as they grow and expand. We are fortunate that Malibu Boats will continue to call the Volunteer State home and believe this company’s $75 million investment will transform the East Tennessee region for years to come,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter noted.
