Mile Hi Specialty Foods To Open Shawnee, Kansas, Distribution Facility
02/25/2014
“We are looking forward to establishing Mile Hi Specialty Foods Co. in Shawnee and growing our footprint for years to come,” Mile Hi Vice President Cody Mullins said. “Shawnee’s industrial market and accessibility coupled with their incentive tools provide us with the necessities we needed.”
“Its great news that Mile Hi Specialty Foods has decided to expand its operations to Kansas,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “Mile-Hi will create good jobs and contribute to our state’s growing food processing and distribution sectors.” Both food and non-food products are distributed to Starbucks, Chipotle, Noodles, Quiznos and Einstein’s Bagels through its three distribution centers located in Denver, Dallas and Kansas. Mile Hi services customers in 17 states and delivers freight and hamburger buns throughout the lower 48 states.
“Shawnee is excited and proud to have Mile Hi Specialty Foods Co. as a member of our business community,” said Shawnee Mayor Jeff Meyers. “With Mile Hi as a major distribution facility, this bolsters the notion WestLink Business Center can be a top competitor in the Kansas City metro logistics arena.”
