3M Expanding Angleton, Texas, Manufacturing Operations

04/15/2011
3M will invest approximately $21.2 million and create 55 jobs at a manufacturing facility in Angleton, Texas. The Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) is supporting the expansion with a $194,000 investment.

"3M has had a strong presence in Texas since 1965, and we are happy to be coming to Angleton thanks to this investment from the TEF," 3M Government and Community Affairs Manager Russell Bridges said. "Texans are hard-working, resourceful, and dependable, and those traits will help 3M continue our successful partnership with the state."

The company will relocate some manufacturing currently performed in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Angleton. The Texas plant produces powder coatings that protect metal from corrosion.
