The Lash Group, Inc., Plans National Headquarters Campus In York County, South Carolina
06/16/2014
Development of a 250,000-square-foot Class A office building by Childress Klein Properties and The Springs Co. in Fort Mill is expected to begin this summer, with occupancy by The Lash Group scheduled for March 2016. The approximately $57.3 million investment in the first phase is expected to reach $90 million as The Lash Group grows and adds a second facility on the campus over time.
The company expects to employ 1,200 in Fort Mill during the first phase, with plans to double its workforce to 2,400 at the new campus over the next several years based on current growth projections. The Lash Group works on behalf of healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to help patients navigate the complex healthcare system and gain and maintain access to the medications prescribed for them.
According to the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the new Fort Mill campus will be close to a variety of existing and planned amenities for Kingsley Park, including hotels, restaurants and other businesses to serve the needs of The Lash Group associates and clients. In addition, the campus is adjacent to the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100-acre natural area that associates will be able to enjoy for health, wellness and corporate events.
“The new campus will improve efficiency and integration of our teams by consolidating our operations into fewer buildings and providing a superior work environment for our associates, ultimately benefitting the patients we serve. We are delighted that we were able to find the ideal site for our new headquarters right here in the greater Charlotte region, and The Lash Group looks forward to enjoying continued growth and success here in South Carolina,” said Tracy Foster, President of The Lash Group.
“We are excited to welcome The Lash Group’s national headquarters to our state and the 2,400 new jobs they’re bringing to York County. They are a company that puts their patients and associates first, and we look forward to watching them grow and continue their success here in South Carolina,” said Governor Nikki Haley. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $2 million set aside grant and job development credits for the project.
“Lash Group will continue to provide vital patient services designed to add significant value to the health care process from their new York County location. With 2,400 jobs planned for this operation, the vision of attracting health care industry investment has taken a substantial leap forward. We welcome the Lash Group and the prominence this decision brings to our community,” Britt Blackwell, Chairman of York County Council and the I-77 Alliance added.
