Brewco Saw Systems Expands Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, Manufacturing Operations
07/02/2025
The investment will include an additional 11,000 square feet at the company’s existing manufacturing facility which will allow for new equipment.
“This expansion represents the next chapter of growth for Brewco,” said Kevin Curran, president and CEO of the company. “We’ve seen strengthening demand across our product lines, and this investment allows us to build faster, better serve our customer base and grow sustainably in the heart of Kentucky. We’re proud to deepen our roots in Muhlenberg County and excited to add well-paying, high-skill jobs to the region.”
To support the project the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 15-year incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based agreement can provide up to $400,000 in tax incentives based on the company’s investment of $1.2 million and annual targets of: creation and maintenance of 20 Kentucky-resident, full-time jobs across 15 years; and paying an average hourly wage of $27.18, including benefits, across those jobs.
“Kentucky’s historic economic momentum in recent years is made possible by our incredible skilled workforce and great businesses that continue to believe in this great state,” noted Governor Andy Beshear. “Our manufacturing sector has been a big part of our success, providing quality job opportunities to Kentuckians in every corner of the commonwealth. I want to thank the leaders at Brewco Saw for their vision to continue building and growing in Muhlenberg County and look forward to their continued success.”
By meeting its annual targets over the agreement term, the company can be eligible to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates. The company may claim eligible incentives against its income tax liability and/or wage assessments. In addition, Brewco can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. Those include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job-training incentives.
“We are excited to see the growth of Brewco, which showcases the opportunities available and the skilled workforce in Muhlenberg County,” added Ray Hagerman, executive director of Muhlenberg Economic Growth Alliance. “We are thankful for the new jobs and their continued success here in our community.”
