10/01/2024
HandCraft Services, a provider of medical linen and apparel products, plans to establish operations in Berkeley County, West Virginia. The $59 million project is expected to create 220 jobs.

The investment includes the construction of two new manufacturing facilities scheduled for operations in 2025 and in 2026.

"The decision for HandCraft Services to invest in Berkeley County is a testament to the strength and potential of West Virginia as a hub for business and innovation in the healthcare industry,” West Virginia Governor Jim Justice said. “This investment will not only create hundreds of good-paying jobs but also strengthen our state's reputation as a leader when it comes to the diversity of our economic development projects. I’m proud to welcome HandCraft Services to West Virginia and look forward to their continued success."

HandCraft Services manages over 110 million pounds of linen annually for 143 hospitals and over 2,500 non-acute medical practices.

"This project is a significant win for Berkeley County and the entire state of West Virginia. Their commitment to creating high-quality jobs and investing in our communities demonstrates their confidence in our workforce and business environment," noted Mitch Carmichael, Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Economic Development. "We are excited to support their growth and the positive impact they will have on our state."
