REI Automation Nears Completion of $500,000 Columbia, South Carolina, Investment

REI Automation, a producer of industrial automation equipment, will complete an expansion of its existing facility in Columbia, South Carolina. The $500,000 investment will create 15 jobs.

"We are very excited to be expanding to provide additional capacity for the assembly of an REI-developed machine that will be used in home improvement stores throughout the United States and Canada," said Grant Phillips, president of REI Automation Inc. "This project is a little different in that we will be producing hundreds of these machines to meet our customer's demands."

The company designs and builds custom, single-purpose machines, assembly lines, and robot cells for global manufacturing facilities.
