Nucor Corporation Expands Crawfordsville, Indiana, Manufacturing Operations

10/09/2026
Steel manufacturer Nucor Corporation plans to expand its operations in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The $105 million project is expected to create 100 jobs in Montgomery County.

The investment will include more than 120,000 square feet of additional manufacturing space at the company’s existing Nucor Towers & Structures facility.

“We are proud to expand Nucor's presence in Indiana and build on the success of our Crawfordsville operations,” said Nucor Towers & Structures Vice President and General Manager Laurent De Mey. “This investment will allow us to better serve our utility customers while creating high-quality jobs and supporting continued economic growth in the region. We appreciate the partnership of Governor Braun, the Indiana Office of Commerce, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the Montgomery County Council and Board of Commissioners, and other state and local leaders who have supported this project.”

Nucor Towers & Structures is a division of Nucor Corporation specializing in the manufacturing of steel structures for electric utility transmission and distribution infrastructure.

“This is a significant win for Indiana and, most importantly, for Hoosiers as Nucor’s continued commitment to the state will create another 100 high-paying career opportunities,” noted Indiana Governor Mike Braun. “Nucor’s expansion in Indiana will add to our state’s robust advanced manufacturing sector, putting Hoosiers at the center of delivering high-quality, durable and safe products worldwide.”
