Expedia and Unisys Inaugurate Missouri Sites, Creating 800 Total Jobs

Expedia has opened its Springfield facility, which will create 500 jobs. The online travel company renovated part of a former terminal at the Springfield-Branson National Airport for its customer services, operations, and support facility.
The Missouri Quality Jobs Program extended Expedia $5.8 million towards the expanded labor force. The package includes $1.2 million from the New Jobs Training Program and $325,000 in Recruitment Assistance.
In St. Louis, technology firm Unisys inaugurated a new facility that will add 300 high-tech jobs to the city's work force. The site will serve application development for federal clients, such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The Missouri Quality Jobs Program extended $4.5 million to Unisys towards the expansion. The package includes $1.2 million from the New Jobs Training Program and $325,000 in Recruitment Assistance.
