12/27/2010
Owens Corning is investing $36 million to expand production of non-woven glass fiber mats in Aiken, South Carolina. The company will receive tax credits from the state to create 24 jobs connected to the expansion.

"We are pleased to have the ongoing support of the local community and the state as we seek to expand the facility, add to the economic strength of Aiken County and South Carolina, and meet the demands of our customers in the future," said Marcio Sandri, vice president and general manager Americas, Owens Corning Composite Solutions Business.

The company expects the new line to begin production in 2012 and produce goods for the industrial and construction industries.
