Industrial Accessories Company Completed In Basin Resin Coating Facility in Monahans, Texas

Industrial Accessories Company completed the first inbasin Resin Coating Facility in Monahans, Texas. The project will allow for enhanced oil recovery.

According to company officials, Resin Coating has played a very important part in hydraulic fracturing in the Oil and Gas industry. In-Basin resin coating facilities reduce resin logistics costs and allow resin coating to be utilized when drilling, thus enhancing oil recovery. With the recent industry focus on cost control when completing a new oil well, less resin was utilized in hydraulic fracturing due to the high cost of transportation.

“In order to complete this in-basin Resin Coating Facility, IAC applied its industry leading team of experts to address resin plant construction, dryer performance, dry plant controls, loadout methodology, dust control, respiratory silica mitigation, wet plant operation, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of Frac Sand Facilities, “ officials said.

"It requires a total team effort to combine the technical expertise and needs of the customer with the engineering, construction and controls capability of IAC. This teamwork ensures the facility design and operation exceeds the needs of the customer's patented formulations and product throughput requirements," said Bob Carter, President of IAC.

IAC is currently commissioning a 3 million ton frac sand plant in Oklahoma, a 1.5 million ton facility in Texas, and starting construction on a 1.5 million ton facility in a new south east basin.
