United Therapeutics Could Bump Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, Work Force to 350

United Therapeutics is planning a significant expansion of its Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, facility. The growth could triple the work force at its research and manufacturing site, according to the News & Observer.

The company is seeking to expand its site by 177,000 square feet and increase its labor capacity to approximately 350 employees, according to company Executive Vice President David Zaccardelli.

If United Therapeutics receives regulatory approval, it could begin construction in the coming months. The expansion will accommodate growth in the manufacturing, packaging, and labeling of drugs, along with warehouse capacity.
