Hanapin Marketing Expands Operations In Bloomington, Indiana
02/21/2017
“Hanapin Marketing is a homegrown Hoosier success story, building an idea from a startup into a strong and growing small business right here in Indiana,” said Jim Schellinger, Indiana Secretary of Commerce.
“As a state, we are committed to strengthening the entrepreneurial environment that has helped launch firms like Hanapin Marketing. Indiana’s startups, scaleups and small businesses provide quality jobs for Hoosiers in all corners of the state, and we must ensure they are able to continue this momentum, helping take Indiana’s economy to the next level,” he added.
According to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the homegrown Hoosier company, which now employs 60 associates, including 40 based in Indiana, is growing in Bloomington’s downtown district. With initial plans to expand its team within its 9,161-square-foot office at 501 N. Morton St., the company is considering options to support continued long-term client and industry growth, including expanding its footprint in the Bloomington area. The company will be hiring for digital advertising and administrative positions throughout the year.
As an incentive, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) offered Hanapin Marketing LLC up to $150,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. In addition, the city of Bloomington and the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation support the project.
“We are pleased to see one of Bloomington’s leading technology companies continue to thrive and grow here in town," said Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton. "Hanapin is a great example of what we hope to see over and over again here in Bloomington, a locally grown startup becoming successful and creating opportunities for our city’s great tech talent.”
