BriskHeat Corporation Plans New Columbus, Ohio, Campus Facility
02/23/2015
The company plans to consolidate its existing Columbus Region facilities at 1055 Gibbard Avenue and 460 E. Starr Avenue into an existing facility at 4800 Hilton Corporate Drive. The company’s investment in the 100,000-square-foot building will include the installation of new machinery and equipment, building renovations and tenant improvements.
“The semiconductor industry and growth in international sales prompted us to open a manufacturing facility in Vietnam in 2010. Now we need to significantly grow our presence in the Columbus Region to keep up with both domestic and international demand,” said Mike Thompson, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, BriskHeat. “We are continuing the growth pattern the company has exhibited since the early 2000s, and committed to providing a high-quality work experience for our employees.”
The company will also maintain its existing 266-employee workforce, which will move to the consolidated facility. The company’s commitment of 103 new jobs will include manufacturing and assembly positions. Hiring is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2015 and wrap up by 2018.
