The company’s new 73,000 square-foot research and development and manufacturing facility will be located at 1204 Technology Drive.
“LufCo’s mission is to empower warfighters with actionable technologies and tools required to dominate the evolving battlespace,” said LufCo Chief Executive Officer Heather Couvillon Lufburrow. “LufCo is proud to partner with the State of Maryland and Harford County to continue our investment in developing a next generation advanced manufacturing capability to achieve this mission.”
To support the project the Maryland Department of Commerce is working to approve a $600,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland. In addition, the Harford County Office of Economic Development is providing a $60,000 grant to help the company complete critical infrastructure upgrades at the project site. LufCo is also eligible for various state and local tax credits including the Job Creation Tax Credit and the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit.
“We are proud to support LufCo’s new R&D and manufacturing operation in Aberdeen,” noted Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “As they expand, the company will find an incredible pool of talent to draw from, our highly-skilled and technologically-advanced workforce, and will thrive in Maryland’s advanced manufacturing sector.”
