Nonni's Foods Expanding, Creating 172 Jobs in North Carolina

04/22/2009
Nonni's Foods, a subsidiary of Greece-based Vivaritia SA, will invest $27 million to locate a commercial bakery in Yadkinville, North Carolina, according to the Triangle Business Journal. The Journal report says the company plans to create 172 jobs at an average annual salary of $29,570 plus benefits, and that the company has pledged to hire all positions within three years. Nonni's Foods manufactures and distributes baked products such as biscotti, bagel and pita chips, and melba toast under the brand names Nonni's, New York Style, Old London, and Devonshire. The state has offered the company a $300,000 grant, contingent on job creation, that will be matched by local government agencies.
