Acra Cast Foundry Expands Bay City, Michigan, Operations

05/11/2026
Metal casting manufacturer Acra Cast, Inc. plans to expand its operations in Bay City, Michigan. The $2.2 million project is expected to create 25 jobs.

The investment at the company’s existing manufacturing facility will include additional production space, new equipment purchases, and workforce growth.

“Over the last seven years we've increased our annual sales by 500% as more emphasis is being placed on American made manufacturing,” said Richard Singer, President of Acra Cast, Inc. “The current round of improvements will position us for even more growth.”

To support the project, the Michigan Strategic Fund approved a $100,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. Additional support includes a Transportation Economic Development Fund grant from the Michigan Department of Transportation to improve First Street near the facility, supporting more efficient product shipments and logistics operations.

“This announcement highlights how critical it is for the state to partner with Michigan-based companies to help ensure their growth and expansion take place right here at home,” noted Matt McCauley, Senior Vice President of Regional Development at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). “We applaud the management and the team at Arca Cast, Inc.’s investment and their recognition that Michigan is a place where businesses can ‘Make It’ and grow.”

Acra Cast, Inc. is a metal casting company that manufactures components for industrial and commercial applications, supplying cast metal products to sectors including defense, automotive, material handling, and industrial equipment.
