Diageo Expands Manufacturing Campus In Plainfield, Illinois

"Plainfield is our largest manufacturing site in North America, and this investment gives us the opportunity and flexibility to expand our footprint there," said Paul Gallagher, President, Diageo Americas Supply. "We are always looking for ways to optimize our supply chain and when this land became available it made strategic sense to acquire it."
Diageo's Plainfield, Illinois location is the primary manufacturing location for Diageo's range of Smirnoff branded products and employs approximately 600 people.
According to company officials Diageo, whose brands include include; Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, Bulleit and Buchanan's whiskies, Smirnoff, Cîroc and Ketel One vodkas, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray and Guinness, has played a key role in the Illinois community for many years and seen a number of expansions and upgrades since its opening in 1966, including a recently-completed $120 million enhancement.
