According to company officials, after acquiring the facility in January of this year, the La Habra, California-based company has received final approval to commence warehousing and distribution activities. In addition, the company plans to begin manufacturing operations at the site by early 2016.
“For Shepard Bros., this is an important step forward in the Company’s growth plan. Having the ability to warehouse and ship from a Northern location is a critical element to growing our business-share in the Northern California and the Pacific Northwest geographies, and provides SB with unique advantages over our competitors,” said Ron Shepard, CEO of Shepard Bros.
“This facility will provide us with an opportunity to better serve our customers through reduced shipping times and lower freight costs, as well as a reduced carbon footprint of the products that Shepard Bros. provides,” he added.
