07/05/2016
“We’re thrilled to be growing again in Missouri and investing in our headquarters in Parkville,” said Christopher Troutner, CEO of Roll On Industries. “Finding the right workers in Parkville has been vital to our growth, and it’s part of the reason we’re so committed to this area. It’s not just drivers we need—running a growing 21st century transportation company means there’s a lot of technology involved and global perspective needed.”
In addition to trucking headquarters in Parkville, the company also has a warehouse & fulfillment facility in Kansas City and a maintenance facility in Liberty. The company currently employs nearly 70.
“We’re excited for Roll On Industries’ growth and expansion here in Parkville,” said Mike Kellam, Executive Director of the Parkville EDC. “As a family-owned business that began here in Parkville, we’re thrilled they’ll continue to call Parkville home, and we look forward to supporting their efforts in growing their business for years to come.”
To assist Roll On Industries with their expansions in Missouri, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation criteria. In addition, the Parkville Economic Development Council and Platte County Economic Development Council partnered with DED and the company over the past several months to assist Roll On Industries in its successful expansion.
“Roll On Industries’ expanding presence in Parkville is a testament to Missouri’s strong logistical advantages and skilled workforce,” said Mike Downing, Director of DED. “This is a company that ships a variety of products—including Missouri made products—all over the country as well as internationally, so success for Roll On Industries is absolutely success for Missouri.”
