Shoulder Innovations Expands Kent County, Michigan, Headquarters Operations

Medical technology company Shoulder Innovations plans to expand its operations in Kent County, Michigan. The approximately $4.9 million project is expected to create at least 42 new jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a new headquarters facility in Byron Township which will feature corporate office and warehouse functions.

Our new, larger headquarters will enable us to maintain a strong presence in the region while providing the infrastructure necessary to scale our office and distribution teams as Shoulder Innovations continues to grow. We look forward to breaking ground on this project and the opportunities it will create for our team and community.”

To support the project, the Michigan Strategic Fund awarded Shoulder Innovations a $252,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. The Right Place will also provide staff support for the expansion, while West Michigan Works! has developed a workforce hiring and training plan in partnership with Grand Rapids Community College.

Shoulder Innovations specializes in the shoulder surgical care market. The company develops a portfolio of products and technologies designed for shoulder replacement procedures and other orthopedic applications.
