09/19/2019
The Austin, Texas-based company signed a 10-year lease for the 23,000 square foot downtown office space located on Poydras Street.
“We are proud of the talented team that we’ve built so far in New Orleans, and look forward to continuing to grow our technology footprint here,” said John Borgerding, CEO of Accruent. “The team in New Orleans is critical to helping Accruent transform the way people work with physical assets, including buildings, technology and the assets in them.”
The company has also launched the local version of its civic responsibility campaign aimed at investing in local causes. Accruent Cares New Orleans is committed to working in our community and has already partnered with Second Harvest, NOLA On Tap, Gleason Gras, the Lafitte Greenway, and Son of A Saint.
“GNO, Inc. is thrilled that Accruent has found its permanent home in New Orleans, as we continue to celebrate their overall expansion into the Greater New Orleans market,” said Michael Hecht, President & CEO of GNO, Inc. “We are proud to work with our economic development partners to attract and retain high-quality companies like Accruent. The expansion of Accruent has helped to grow our tech sector, diversify our economy, and create good-paying jobs.”
Louisiana Economic Development estimates this new business will result in 350 new direct jobs and 338 indirect jobs, for a total of more than 680 new jobs in Louisiana’s Southeast Region. Accruent has already hired more than 70 new employees and is ramping up quickly to reach full employment in New Orleans in 2020.
“We continue to applaud Accruent’s commitment to the city because the company is an important part of an increasingly more diversified local economy that is attracting and retaining more graduates of our local higher education institutions. Many former residents and alumni of local colleges are giving our city a second look and are returning home for great career opportunities, such as Accruent’s, right here,” said Quentin L. Messer Jr., President & CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance.
