Two Consolidating Vision Companies to Relocate 350 Jobs and Corporate Headquarters to San Antonio
09/02/2011
HVHC Inc., the holding company, has begun to consolidate its 15 national retail brands under a single name, Visionworks. It will open an affordable vision care and eyewear retail location on the ground floor of the Houston Street building, where the companies will use over 100,000 square feet of space formerly occupied by AT&T. The new location will include executive and administrative offices, and an on-site conference and training center.
"After a thorough search in Texas and across the country, we chose to relocate our corporate operations to downtown," said HVHC's President and CEO David Holmberg, "This is an exciting time for our family of companies as we begin to rebrand our 500-plus retail locations in Texas and nationwide, and we integrate our retail and managed care and insurance services in one location."
City Manager Sheryl Sculley said the project represents the first corporate location in the city's downtown of over 40,000 square feet in the last 15 years, and will be a catalyst for more business growth in that part of San Antonio.
