Hupp Electric Motors Expands Marion, Iowa, Headquarters Operations

Electric motor and industrial equipment services company Hupp Electric Motors plans to expand its operations in Marion, Iowa. The $6 million project is expected to create 24 jobs.

The investment will include a 34,600-square-foot addition to the company’s existing headquarters facility and will support pump repair and sales, millwright services, machining, motor warehousing and large motor repair.

“Marion has offered an excellent hub for Hupp Electric Motors to continue to grow. The connections and support within the business community have allowed us to continue to thrive, leading to this expansion,” said Hupp Electric Motors Vice President of Operations Josh Hupp. “This expansion will help us also expand our relationships with community partners, such as Kirkwood Community College, where we plan to utilize the Iowa Industrial Jobs Training (260E) program.”

To support workforce development associated with the project, Hupp Electric Motors plans to utilize the Iowa Industrial Jobs Training (260E) program through Kirkwood Community College.

Hupp Electric Motors provides custom-built electric motors, motor and pump repair, machining, and industrial crane and hoist repair services.
