Valendrawers Investing $1.2M in Lexington, North Carolina, Expansion

Valendrawers Inc., a maker of drawer and door parts for the furniture and cabinet industries, is investing $1.2 million and creating 50 jobs as part of an expansion in Lexington, North Carolina. The One North Carolina Fund contributed a $100,000 grant to the project.

"We are very happy to have chosen North Carolina for the new door production," said Piero Della Valentina, president of Valendrawers. "We have been in North Carolina for 25 years and know that we can count on a great community, in particular on skilled and dedicated workers. I want to thank all the community leaders for assisting us in putting together this project which I hope will bring a positive impact to the area."

Valendrawers was founded in Lexington in 1985. As part of the expansion, the company will begin producing cabinet doors with a new, advanced technology.
