LaCrosse Footwear Unveils Portland, Oregon, Production Facility

"This state-of-the-art facility will allow us to continue to innovate with new footwear designs and production processes by expanding our overall capabilities and capacity," said Joseph P. Schneider, president and CEO of LaCrosse Footwear. "The factory will also improve our operating efficiencies by incorporating the latest lean manufacturing techniques to meet at-once demand."
LaCrosse worked with the Portland Development Commission and Business Oregon to help fund the project. The company, which also recently opened a new factory store in Portland, is expected make up to $10 million in capital investments this year.
The company produces work and outdoor footwear under the Danner brand.
