LKQ Corporation Plans Major Expansion In Nashville, Tennessee

01/17/2017
LKQ Corporation, an automotive equipment and accessories distributor and marketer, will expand its regional headquarters in Davidson County, Tennessee. LKQ expects to create 150 jobs in Nashville over the next five years.

LKQ plans to build a new approximately 100,000-square foot building in Nashville to accommodate the company’s future growth. Once built, LKQ’s existing approximately 400 Nashville employees will move to the new facility, where the company will create 150 new jobs over the next five years.

A leading provider of alternative and specialty parts and accessories to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles, the company has operations in North America, Europe and Taiwan. LKQ offers a broad range of replacement systems, components, equipment and parts to repair and accessorize automobiles, trucks, recreational and performance vehicles.

“This expansion effort will ensure that LKQ can continue to meet the growing demand for our products in North America and around the world. We are grateful to Davidson County and the State of Tennessee for their continued support as we invest in our shared future,” Justin L. Jude, Senior Vice President of Operations of LKQ, said.

“LKQ’s decision to expand in Tennessee showcases that our state’s workforce and business climate allows companies to expand and continue to succeed here,” Governor Bill Haslam said. “I appreciate LKQ for its continued investment in Tennessee, for creating 150 new jobs in Nashville and Davidson County, and for bringing Tennessee one step closer to our goal of making Tennessee the No.1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“LKQ has been a terrific employer and corporate citizen in Nashville, and its decision to expand operations in Davidson County while making a sizeable capital investment in the Nashville community is very exciting,” Mayor Megan Barry said. “LKQ’s choice to expand here goes to further show Nashville’s strength as a global market for automotive companies.”
