Daifuku America Corporation Invests $3 Million To Expand Its Columbus, Ohio, Manufacturing Campus
03/11/2014
The manufacturer’s investment includes an 18,200-square-foot renovation to its existing building at 6700 Tussing Road in Columbus. Additionally, as part of the planned 8,000-square- foot expansion, the company will work with ODOT and the City of Columbus to widen public roads and add stormwater infrastructure, street lighting and traffic signs to accommodate increased traffic.
“We are excited about the next step in Daifuku’s growth, which includes increasing the company’s Columbus Region workforce,” said Tim Hund, Vice President, Daifuku America Corporation. “The collaborative efforts between the City of Columbus, the Ohio Department of Transportation and Columbus 2020 definitely helped this project go from concept to reality.”
“We are proud to see another industry-leading company grow and invest in Columbus,” said Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “This project is a prime example of our smart, collaborative nature, and we look forward to assisting in Daifuku’s continued growth.”
