Expansion of Knorr Brake Plant to Add 60 Jobs in Maryland

The project will double the size of Knorr's manufacturing capabilities in the Westminster Technology Park (located in Carroll County about 30 miles from Baltimore) from 120,000 to 236,000 square feet.
Westminster-based Knorr manufactures braking, door and HVAC systems for the mass transit rail industry. It operates sales/service facilities in Carmel, New York, and Union City, California.
U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski said the expansion will the company to meet increased demand for safer rail cars.
