01/29/2014
Michael King, AeroTurbine’s President and CEO said, “AeroTurbine is thrilled to be in our new state-of-the-art facility in Miramar. The facility is ideal for our new worldwide corporate headquarters and will well serve AeroTurbine’s aggressive growth plans. We appreciate the tremendous support and assistance from the Governor's office, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the City of Miramar and Broward County."
AeroTubine’s new location in Miramar will serve as the company’s corporate headquarters as they continue to expand. Outside the south Florida location, AeroTurbine has offices throughout the world including Singapore and the United Kingdom, as well as two other United States locations in Texas and Arizona.
Governor Rick Scott said, “AeroTurbine’s creation of 75 new jobs is a great addition to the Broward community. With today’s news that Florida’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.2 percent and we have created 462,000 jobs in three years, it’s clear that it’s working in Florida. This is all great news, but we aren’t finished yet. We are committed to creating an opportunity economy in Florida that will support jobs for generations to come.”
Bob Swindell, President and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance said, “We are excited to celebrate the grand opening and expansion of AeroTurbine's new global headquarters in Miramar. AeroTurbine's presence is an important addition to Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward's dynamic cluster of aviation industry companies."
Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope, President and CEO of Enterprise Florida, Inc. said, “AeroTurbine’s expansion in Miramar validates the state’s position as a leader in aviation and aerospace. This expansion of their corporate headquarters is a great opportunity for our exceptional workforce and the company’s investment in Florida significantly benefits our goal of diversifying our economy through job creation.”
“Congratulations to AeroTurbine on the grand opening of its new worldwide headquarters. As a leader in the aerospace and aviation manufacturing industry, AeroTurbine will create 75 new jobs in Miramar for Florida families,” said Jesse Panuccio, Executive Director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. “Florida has been recognized for our thriving aviation manufacturing sector due to the low-tax, pro-business policies put in place by the Scott administration.”
