RV Manufacturer Re-Opening Production Plant, Hiring 125 Workers in Indiana

10/23/2009
CrossRoads RV, a manufacturer and seller of recreational vehicles and travel trailers, will re-open a shuttered production plant in Topeka, Indiana, and hire 125 new employees. The company says in a statement that it is re-opening its Plant #2 to shorten lead times and provide faster delivery of its products. The plant will manufacture CrossRoads' SlingShot travel trailers and Sunset Trail Ultra Light travel trailers. "Our dealers are reporting strong retail sales over the last several months and positive results from fall shows," says Mark Lucas, the company's president. "Although the rest of the industry may be experiencing a seasonal slowdown, we've chosen not to participate." CrossRoads operates six production facilities totaling 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The company is a division of Thor Industries Inc.
