Tate Plans Glasgow, Kentucky, Manufacturing Operations

10/28/2025
Tate, a designer and manufacturer of critical data center infrastructure solutions, plans to establish operations in Glasgow, Kentucky. The $61.2 million project is expected to create 400 jobs in Barren County.

The company’s new 764,000-square-foot facility will manufacture high performing thermal management and airflow solutions.

“We’re delighted to become part of the Glasgow community,” said Daniel Kennedy, Tate’s Global President of Cloud Solutions and Innovation. “Expanding our manufacturing capabilities in rural Kentucky reflects our commitment to expand our U.S. manufacturing footprint and the creation of high-quality jobs here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”

To support the project the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 15-year incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based agreement can provide significant tax incentives based on the company’s investment of $61.2 million and annual targets.

“We are thrilled that Tate plans to make Glasgow their New Kentucky Home with the largest job creation project we’ve seen in Barren County in almost 20 years,” noted Governor Andy Beshear said. “Kentucky has secured our place as a manufacturing leader with our skilled workforce and prime location, and companies across the globe are taking notice. I want to thank the leaders at Tate and Kingspan for choosing to invest in the commonwealth, and I look forward to seeing their success and future growth.”

Additionally, KEDFA approved Tate for up to $300,000 in tax incentives through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act (KEIA). KEIA allows approved companies to recoup Kentucky sales and use tax on construction costs, building fixtures, equipment used in research and development and electronic processing. In addition, Tate can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. Those include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job-training incentives.

“This project brings 400 high-quality jobs, significant capital investment, and new energy to our growing industrial community. We look forward to partnering with the Tate team as they establish and expand their operations, creating lasting opportunities for our residents and strengthening our local economy,” added Maureen Carpenter, president & CEO of the Barren County Economic Authority.

Tate, a subsidiary of Ireland-based Kingspan Group PLC, provides solutions including structural aisle containment including manifolds, structural ceiling solutions, as well as raised access floors. The company currently operates 21 facilities globally.
