11/29/2024
The investment will include the construction of a new data center that will house up to two tenants.
“Data centers remain a vital component in our journey toward a more innovative and interconnected future,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “I look forward to the positive impact that Vantage Data Centers will bring to our state, and I extend my best wishes for their success as they help shape Nevada’s technological landscape.”
To support the project the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development has approved Vantage Data Centers to receive $19.2 million in tax abatements. The company, founded in Nevada this past September, plans to build the center that will likely house one or two tenants. They plan to create around 10 jobs within five years at an average hourly wage of $64. Vantage Data Centers also says they will generate $76 million in new tax revenues over a 10-year period.”
“Governor's Office of Economic Development support of the incentive application for Vantage Data Centers is a significant factor in their pending decision to expand into northern Nevada and speaks favorably to the State’s business friendly environment,” noted Heather Wessling-Grosz EDAWN, Executive Vice-President Business Development.
Vantage Data Centers offers products and services that power, cool, protect, and connect the technology of the hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises.
