Swedish-based Transmode Opens Expanded Operations Center in Dallas, Texas

12/07/2012
Swedish-based Transmode, a supplier of packet-optical networking solutions, expanded its North American operations hub in Dallas, Texas, opening a laboratory, training facility and centralizing its support service center in the Lone Star State.

The new company said its support and service center is centrally located with excellent transport links and provides Transmode with enhanced business facilities to support the company's growth in the region. The new location provides advanced facilities to support Transmode's range of services, including local round-the-clock technical assistance, training, engineering services and spare parts management. Order management capabilities are also further enhanced by local warehousing of Transmode's most popular products to ensure swift order delivery.

Karl Thedéen, Transmode's CEO added, "Transmode's operational efficiency and industry leading financial performance is highly influenced by our centralized strategy where global functions such as research and development, purchasing and corporate functions are located in a single location, our global headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Adding a support and service center in the North American region enables us to extend the Transmode touch closer to our expanding customer base and strengthens our capabilities in the region whilst retaining a highly cost-efficient company structure."

Paul Harrison, Transmode's VP North America said: "As our business has increased in North America both in terms of revenue and the sophistication of the solutions we are supplying to our customers, we have gradually added a broad range of local support functions. Providing local access to these services along with new demo and training facilities greatly enhances our ability to support our growing customer base in the region." Information on the cost of the firm’s investment and its eligibility to receive job creation tax incentives was not immediately available.
