The investment will include an additional 49,000-square-feet and new equipment to support additional capacity for forging, machining, heat treating, chrome plating and assembly at its State Line Road location.
“The Tennessee Economic and Community Development grant program supports the efforts of companies such as Snap-on, continuing to build on our presence as a U.S manufacturer and as an employer here in Elizabethton, in Carter County and in the state of Tennessee for 50 years. We value our hard-working associates in this facility as well as the community’s endorsement and on-going support,” Jon Carley, Elizabethton plant manager at Snap-on said.
“As Carter County’s third largest employer, Snap-on has become a vital part of the Elizabethton community. We are proud that Snap-on will expand its business in Tennessee, and we hope to continue partnering together to facilitate additional growth in this region,” noted TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter.
Snap-on Incorporated is a global innovator, manufacturer, and marketer of tools, equipment, diagnostics, repair information and systems solutions.
“TVA and Elizabethton Electric congratulate Snap-on on its decision to expand operations and create new job opportunities and investment in Carter County. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s commitment to continued growth in the region. We are proud to partner with the City of Elizabethton and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to support companies like Snap-on and look forward to its continued business success,” added Bradley, TVA senior vice president of economic development.
