The AZEK Company Plans Boise, Idaho, Manufacturing Facility

The AZEK Company, an industry-leading manufacturer of low maintenance, sustainable residential and commercial building products, will open a new manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho. The project will create at least 80 jobs over the next year, followed by about 100 more over the next two to three years.

Construction which will be a retrofit of an existing building, will begin this year and it is expected to be fully operational in 2022. The new facility will be AZEK’s ninth, joining existing facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. The facility is a key part of AZEK’s previously announced $180 million capacity expansion program.

According to state officials, AZEK is revolutionizing the outdoor living industry by using plastic waste, recycled wood, and scrap to create its products, and through AZEK’s recycling programs, approximately 400 million pounds of scrap and waste were diverted from landfills in fiscal year 2020. Earlier this year, the company announced a goal to divert one billion pounds of waste per year by 2026.
