V&N Advanced Automation Systems Expands along Florida’s Space Coast To Serve Aviation Industry
04/18/2012
A spokesman for the firm said its new subsidiary will focus on supplying automated vacuum coating equipment and coating services to the aerospace industry, specifically in response to significant growth in the commercial aircraft industry.
"V&N Advanced Automation Systems has achieved a level of growth that has allowed us to create our new subsidiary, V&N Aerospace, and acquire an additional 7,200 sq. ft. facility here in Rockledge," said Tito Visi, V&N President. "These new developments will help V&N maintain our current path of job creation in Brevard County and help us expand and better serve our customer base worldwide." The firm's new division will create several new jobs.
The Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast worked closely with V&N Advanced Automation Systems to provide tax incentives and identify ways to reduce costs and remain competitive in Brevard County. V&N Advanced Automation Systems was awarded Florida Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund incentives and the required local match from the city of Rockledge to offset costs of the expansion. The incentive persuaded the company to expand at the Rockledge location, rather than at two other locations.
"I extend my congratulations to V&N and the EDC for the approval of the state incentives," said Rockledge Mayor Tom Price. "This is the result of the public and private sectors working together to help the entire community."
V&N Advanced Automation Systems' innovative business model and responsiveness to its clients' needs has contributed to the company's growth," said Lynda Weatherman, president and CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast. "This expansion is a positive addition to our burgeoning aviation industry and we look forward to V&N Advanced Automation Systems' continued growth on the Space Coast."
