MC Assembly Plans Move To Larger Operations Center In Melbourne, Florida
05/22/2014
The company said its “move will support MC Assembly's vision of remaining the preeminent America's based mid-tier Electronics Manufacturing Service provider and will enhance the customer, vendor, and stakeholder experience with MC Assembly, while positioning the business for a strong future.”
MC Assembly based in Palm Bay, Florida, with operations in Winchester, Massachusetts, Palm Bay, Florida and Zacatecas, Mexico, provides turnkey solutions to original equipment manufacturers and focuses on assembly of medium volume, medium mix printed circuit boards assemblies and box builds.
"We are highly focused on increasing our customer's through-put in our factories, decreasing waste at all levels of the processes, improving the quality of our products, and increasing our responsiveness to the ever increasing demands being placed upon us," George Moore, MC Assembly CEO/President said. "MC Assembly's commitment to offer our stakeholders the best possible work environment, more centrally located to where the majority of our employees live, retaining jobs in central Florida and positioning the company for growth to add more jobs here is also at the core of this move," he stated.
"We have also considered the impact the move would have on our vendors and our intent is to not only maintain our levels of spend in the Florida market, but enable that to increase as we add additional customers to our growing portfolio," said Moore. "The move to the new location will be carefully choreographed to avoid disrupting the flow of finished goods we are committed to ship to our customer base. We do expect to be moved and completely operational in the new facility in early 2015."
MC Assembly said it wants to acknowledge the support received from the Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast, the city of Melbourne, and Brevard county, through the site selection process. “We expect to have a ground breaking ceremony later this year to unveil the new state of the art factory as well as the investments that we will be making in the new facility,” company officials said.
