The investment will increase production capacity and allow for building improvements, updated infrastructure, and machinery and equipment to better support the fabrication and welding of custom vehicle components.
“We look forward to growing our footprint in Murfreesboro even further with additional welding and fabrication work for our purpose-built vehicles. This investment will enable us to meet our strategic growth initiatives more effectively, serving the customers who rely on us each day,” Jim Johnson, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president, Vocational Segment noted.
McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc. is a market leader and manufacturer of purpose-built commercial vehicles and equipment.
“Nearly one year ago, we announced that McNeilus, an Oshkosh Corporation company, would invest $50 million to expand its Tennessee manufacturing operations, and today, we are building upon that initial investment with the creation of additional new jobs in Rutherford County. Oshkosh Corporation is a brand we are proud to have in the Volunteer State, and we look forward to seeing this company’s continued success in Rutherford County,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter noted.
“TVA and Middle Tennessee Electric congratulate Oshkosh Corporation and its McNeilus business on its decision to expand operations in Rutherford County. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s continued commitment to growth in the Valley. We are proud to partner with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to help support companies, like Oshkosh Corporation, which are creating job opportunities and investment in the region and celebrate this announcement together,” John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of Economic Development added.
