08/12/2025
The investment will include the renovation and expansion of two of the company's existing manufacturing and research facilities.
“The support from the State of Texas and the City of Richardson made the decision to expand our footprint an easy one,” said Collins Aerospace Vice President and General Manager for Strategic Solutions Philippe Limondin. “The state’s commitment to aerospace and defense is key to our continued success.”
To support the project the company received a $3.7 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant and more than $1.8 million in additional incentives from the city of Richardson. The local package includes property and inventory tax rebates, along with a job creation grant.
“Texas is ranked as the No. 1 state for attracting aerospace manufacturing,” noted Governor Greg Abbott. “This $57 million investment by Collins Aerospace to expand their manufacturing and R&D operations in Richardson will create more than 570 good-paying jobs for hardworking Texans and deliver innovative solutions right here in Texas. Partnering with industry leaders, we will ensure Texas remains the hub for aerospace, aviation, and defense for generations to come.”
Collins Aerospace is an aerospace and defense company that designs and manufactures systems and components for commercial and military aircraft, as well as space applications. The company was formed in 2018 from the merger of Rockwell Collins and UTC Aerospace Systems.
