Air Products Constructs Global Headquarters in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania
09/23/2019
“We want the commonwealth to be a place where Pennsylvania-based businesses can continue to grow and thrive,” Economic Development Executive Deputy Secretary Neil Weaver said. “The fact that Air Products chose to stay here in their home of Pennsylvania speaks volumes about the business climate and the quality of life that we offer in the commonwealth.”
According to state officials, Air Products has been a presence in the Lehigh Valley since the 1940s, and currently operates its headquarters in Allentown. This new location, under construction about a mile away from the current headquarters, signifies Air Products’ continued commitment to Pennsylvania in the years ahead. The project includes construction of dedicated buildings for administration, research and development, and parking. The new headquarters will house approximately 2,000 employees.
“From the beginning of this process to develop a new headquarters facility, we have never wavered in our commitment to remain in the Lehigh Valley,” said Seifi Ghasemi, President & CEO of Air Products. “We believe our new location will afford us a special opportunity to modernize and optimize our office space and R&D facilities and invest in a work environment that motivates and energizes our employees. As a global company operating in more than 50 countries, this new headquarters will reflect the safety, speed, simplicity and self-confidence that move us forward as a world-leading industrial gas company.”
