Maine Industrial Tire Closing Gorham, Maine, Facility

Maine Industrial Tire is shuttering its Gorham, Maine, manufacturing plant as part of a company restructuring, Modern Tire Dealer reports. The company will move its Gorham production to facilities in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, and Xingtai, China.

"Not only will this result in a financially stronger company, by streamlining operations, Maine Tire will be able to provide customers with the same high quality, premium products at competitive prices," the company says.

Maine Industrial Tire will also restructure its sales department. The company expects to complete the consolidation in six months. It also underwent a restructuring in July 2010.
