Former Tennessee Marketing Chief Launches Firm
01/21/2022
Lane launched Civitas Agency, a firm that offers full-service creative, marketing, and public relations to economic development organizations, governments, and public affairs organizations.
“The world of economic development is becoming increasingly more competitive," Lane said. "Marketing is more critical than ever and having an experienced firm matters. Civitas Agency is excited to offer unmatched creative and media strategies to the economic development industry."
Lane founded the Civitas Agency after more than a decade in government communications and digital media — most recently serving as Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s deputy communications director and previously as marketing director for Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD). Under his tenure at TNECD, Lane led domestic and international marketing in 11 countries and developed media strategies that helped recruit a record amount of corporate investment to the state. Serving in the role for eight years, Lane produced some of the most innovative and awarded EDO marketing campaigns in the country.
Categorized as a modern marketing, creative, and communications firm in Downtown Nashville, Civitas Agency partners with governments, corporations, economic development organizations, causes, and coalitions.
