J.M. Smucker-Hostess Brands Expand Columbus, Georgia, Production Operations

American food and beverage manufacturer J.M. Smucker Co. plans to expand its operations in Columbus, Georgia. The more than $120 million project is expected to create 48 jobs.

The investment at the company’s Hostess Brands manufacturing facility will include the construction of a new building, renovations, and equipment. Operates are scheduled to begin by early 2027.

The J.M. Smucker Company is known for brands like Hostess, Smucker's fruit spreads, Jif peanut butter, Folgers coffee, and Milk-Bone dog snacks. The company operates in several segments including U.S. Retail Coffee, U.S. Retail Consumer Foods, U.S. Retail Pet Foods, and International and Away From Home.
