Australia-Based Whiskey Project Group Establishes Edenton, North Carolina, Manufacturing Operations

10/24/2026
Australia-based maritime technology and advanced manufacturing company The Whiskey Project Group has established operations in Edenton, North Carolina. The project is expected to create 30 jobs in Chowan County.

The company’s new 60,000-square-foot North American manufacturing hub, located on 50 acres, will manufacture vessels under the company's Whiskey, NAiAD and VYCOR brands, including tactical multi-mission vessels, rigid-hulled inflatable boats and utility craft.

“The Whiskey Project Group’s establishment of its North American manufacturing hub in Edenton builds on our state’s proud maritime and military tradition while creating new pathways to skilled careers and long-term economic growth in northeastern North Carolina,” said North Carolina Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley. “These are great jobs supporting the rural economy and our national security.”

The Whiskey Project Group specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing and sustainment of advanced maritime vessels. The company provides tactical watercraft, high-performance rigid-hulled inflatable boats and utility vessels for military, government, commercial and recreational applications.
